Barbara A. Quick

Barbara A. Quick a life long resident of Ellenville passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was 74 years old. Barbara was born on February 25, 1938 in Monticello; she was the daughter of Harold and Gertrude (Caston) Phillips.

Barbara was a life member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to play bingo, crochet, knit and bake. Mrs. Quick had worked in the Ellenville School District, but her main focus was her family.

Mrs. Quick was predeceased by her husband Roy B. Quick and her son Robert Wayne Quick.

Barbara is survived by her children Roy A. Quick and his wife Dorothy, Roger S. Quick and his wife Brenda and Holly A. Bullock and her husband John, her daughter-in-law Bonnie Quick all of Ellenville, her brother Jack Phillips and his wife Phyllis of Cragsmoor, her brother-in-law Leonard Quick and his wife Nancy of Napanoch, her sister-in-law Iris McDole and her companion Sam Presti of Glen Wild, her uncle David Caston and his wife Joann of Salem, OR, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, December 26th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville. A service by the Order of the Eastern Star will begin at 7:30pm. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Thursday 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
