Anna Maria Pinque of Napanoch, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was 89 years old. Anna was born on October 5, 1931, in Introdacqua, Province of Aquila, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Adelia (Monaco) Scudieri.
On October 11, 1951, Anna married Elermo Francesco Pinque in Italy. Shortly after, they emigrated to the United States and settled in Napanoch. Anna began working at the Channel Master Factory and eventually went on to work at Imperial Schrade in Ellenville in 1962 until her retirement in 1996. Anna was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Mary and St. Andrew’s Church. She was an ongoing supporter of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement at Graymoor in Garrison, NY and the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA. Anna was a hard worker her entire life, whether she was tending to her family or mowing her lawn. She was an avid gardener and an exceptional cook. Anna enjoyed doing word puzzles and listening to classical music as well as opera.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Elermo Pinque on November 6, 1988. She is also predeceased by her stepmother Maria Scudieri and her siblings, Antonio Scudieri, Concetta Ciamacco, Angela Giammarco and Giuseppe Scudieri; son-in-law, Stephen Majeski, and her brother-in-laws Dulentino and Palmino Pinque. .
Surviving are her children, Paola Pinque of Temple, TX, Herman (Tracey) Pinque of Sewell, NJ, Vincent (Maura) Pinque of Groton, MA, Anthony Pinque of Napanoch, NY and Lucia (Dean) Milite of Lowell, MA; her brother, Delio (Felicetta) Scudieri of Introdacqua, Italy, sister Gaetanina Scudieri of Huguenot, NY, sisters-in-law Maria Pinque of Buchanan, NY and Adelia Scudieri of Italy and brother-in-law Jozef Dekan of Ellenville, NY; six grandchildren, Matthew and Samantha Pinque, Adelaide and Catherine Majeski, Francesco and Marie Pinque, her very dear niece Raffaela (Dekan) McGuinness who was like a granddaughter to her and thirteen additional nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Italy.
Visiting will be held on Monday, June 21 st from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Tuesday, June 22 nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 N. Main St., Ellenville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 23 rd at St. Mary and St. Andrew’s Church. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
