Allen M. Browne

Allen Myles Browne of Ellenville, NY, passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was 83 years old. Allen was born on November 8, 1932 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of the late Howard and Esther (Levy) Browne.

Mr. Browne was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1955.

Allen married the love of his life, Sophia Karayannides Browne, in New York City on May 15, 1976. Allen completed his education at Sacramento State University in 1991, graduating

with a Bachelors of Art Degree with honors. Allen was an accomplished Artist, specializing in water colors, oil and photography. Many of Allen’s works are currently on display at Hurley Motorsports in Kingston, NY.  

In addition to his wife, Sophia, Allen is survived by his children: Kent, Duncan and Carrie, Sisters: SueAnn and Melissa, Granddaughters: Jessica, Stephanie, Caitlin, Julianne, and Shannon, and Great Grandson: Brandon.

Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held on October 30th in Hurley, NY. For further details, contact the family.
