Ali Ahamad Salim

Ali Ahamad Salim of Ocala, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at home. He was 47.

He was the son of the late Ahamad Salim Asad and Blanca E. Salim Asad Corredor, born on August 21, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY.

Ali was a kind-hearted person that helped everyone and would give anyone his last dollar or meal. He often took in people in need and fed and took care of them. He could build a house with his bare hands. He was known as a jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He will be greatly missed by all his entire family, especially his sisters and brothers, and his nieces and nephews, who were all very close to him. He was everyone's favorite uncle.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons: Alex Salim and Christopher Salim; one granddaughter, Aaliyah Salim; his siblings: Luis Salim, Estella Vasquez, Rosa Mendoza, Maria Scott, Zoraida Ramos and Samira Perez, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 9th, at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, May 11th, at Fantinekill Cemetery, State Route 209, Ellenville, NY 12428 at 10 a.m.
