Alfonza Segui of Ellenville, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Kingston City Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 93. She was the daughter of the late Juan and Maria Soto Hernandez, born on November 23, 1918 in Puerto Rico. She was a member of St. Mary's St. Andrews Church for many years and would often be found praying throughout the day and saying the rosary. She would usually pray to keep her friends and family members safe and bless them when they were together. She always made her home a warm and welcoming place for all to come and visit, which was easy because she enjoyed cooking and was known as the town mother. She was the person that would lend a helping hand and would never hesitate. She loved gardening and was a social butterfly amongst the community. Alfonza was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her two sons, Angelo Caban and his wife, April and Miguel Caban; six grandchildren: Bryan and Joshua Caban, Yolanda Caban-Davidson, Michael, Christopher, and Rebecca Caban, ten great grandchildren: Justin Panis, Biviany Caban, Andre Davidson, Brittany Caban, Bryan Caban, Jr., Myah Bennett, Arianna Davidson, Jordan, Eviliany and Nathanyl Caban.
