Alberta Kelly

Alberta "Birdie" J. Kelly of Ellenville, NY passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Sunday, June 24, 2012 with her family by her side. She was 83.

She was the daughter of the late Otto and Alberta Reinert Krull, born on December 11, 1928 in Middletown, NY.

Alberta was a member and communicant at St. Mary’s St. Andrews Church. She enjoyed many things such as gardening, reading and sewing. She spent a lot of time making her house a home for everyone to come and visit. She loved her children and family deeply; they will miss her continuously. Birdie was the widow of Benjamin Kelly, to whom she was married to for over 50 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Jaye Collca of Henderson, NV., and Grace Kennedy of Ellenville; one son, Arthur Kelly of Ellenville; grandchildren, Danielle and Brenna Kennedy, Richard Loos, and Whitney McMurtrie; one daughter-in-law, Kathryn Hoar of Grahamsville; three great grandchildren, Vizma, Trysten, and Finn.

She was predeceased by one son. Michael Kelly; five brothers, Alonzo, Joseph, Kenneth, Merritt, and Albert.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Loucks Funeral Home, 79 North Main Street, Ellenville, NY 12428 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at St. Mary’s St. Andrews Church, 137 South Main Street Ellenville, NY 12428 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville, NY.
